Class Listing

Participants: Age 16+, (Age 13-15 with guardian present), prerequisite is already have drawn observationally from a still life, and basic understanding of shading and line making.

Description: 

Looking to embellish your blossoming drawing skills with the personality and character of the human face? Grab a friend, a partner, family member, or commandeer a mirror and join us for a fun filled lesson. Learn to navigate the face with “bony landmarks” and general underlying anatomy. Then put these skills to use bringing forth the likeness of your counterpart.    

Learning objects

  • Anatomical focus on identifying “Bony Landmarks” in the face. 

  • General understanding of basic human anatomical structure for the purpose of rendering the human form

  • Understanding shadows and highlights with charcoal over graphite.
